Matthew J. Kotapish, D.D.S., M.S.

Dr. Matthew Kotapish received his B.S. in Zoology and B.A. in Spanish from The Ohio State University in 2013. He received his D.D.S. degree from The Ohio State University College of Dentistry in 2017. He then went on to pursue his passion in the specialty of endodontics. He completed the OSU Endodontic Fellowship in 2018 prior to receiving his Certificate of Endodontics and M.S. degree from The Ohio State University in 2020. Upon completion of the program, Dr. Kotapish came back to his hometown of Akron and joined the endodontic practice of Dr. James Kotapish, his father, and Dr. Christopher Kayafas.
While in dental school he served as President of The Ohio State University College of Dentistry American Student Dental Association. His involvement in organized dentistry continues today as a member of the Ohio Dental Association, American Dental Association, American Association of Endodontics, and the Akron Dental Society. Dr. Kotapish cares deeply for his patients, and helping them feel better is his biggest reward.
He and his wife Taylor welcomed their first child in the summer of 2021. His interests include all things active, especially biking, snowboarding and hiking. He also enjoys reading, cooking, traveling, watching sports games (O-H!), spending time with family, and playing with his pup, Howard.
